Karen landed in Taos in the 80’s after living in Central and South America, and the Caribbean for l2 years. Now living in a tiny village in the foothills of Northern New Mexico, her art continues to be influenced by the local culture and her love of the land. She paints what is framed in an open door, the view outside her window, a walk along the acequia or down her dirt road. Past President of the Taos Watercolor Society, Karen has exhibited in the U.S. and abroad and her work is found in private collections internationally.
